spicewx thumb Some Old Posts I found some old posts about Spiceworks to share:

The Scrappy Software Marketer

This one is from August 2007:

What the real story is that Spiceworks offers an IT Desktop suite that is completely free and ad supported. Basically, as people use the software they are served up ads via a sidebar using AdSense.

My take….so long as the software does what it says it will do and provides value to an organization, then why the hell not? I wish Spiceworks all the best. Must be fun to work in their marketing department…cause the main goal is to seed and infiltrate the market with free software.

FUCC

Ages ago, like the 4 march 2007 FUCC reviewed Spiceworks quickly and effectively.

The Back Room Tech

Today I finally got around to installing spiceworks. The spiceworks.com web site claims the software is an IT manager’s dream – asset management and help desk, all from a simple Windows PC.

The installation took all of five minutes to complete. I think the most difficult part of the install was figuring out if my machine was already running a web server, or if spiceworks could use the default port 80.

TTC Shelbyville

You want network management software that works for you, not software that makes you work. You wish you could have it… without spending a fortune. Your wish is granted.
