Spiceworks 4.5 Beta 4 Screenshots
Unofficial Spiceworks have dug though the release notes and done some quick one line notes on the key new functionality as well as some cool screenshots.
HTTPs for User portal
The User portal for logging tickets as checking progress on tickets now support HTTPS making the user portal more secure and useable by a wider range of companies requiring encryption for their helpdesk.

Updated Remote Collector Screen and HTTPS support
With the new HTTPS support you can also now use HTTPS for remote collectors. I don’t have two installs so can’t demo the https bit that well but the below shows the remote collector screen has also been updated.

New network Scan page with custom schedules
The area in which you set custom schedules has now been update to make it easier to understand and setup.

Network Map
One of the nice things about the beta is you can now make custom network maps, in beta 4 the area for editing and saving has been tidied up and speed up.

SQL Server Plugin
As per our earlier Spiceworks are working on a SQL monitoring plugin, this has required a lot of backend work and promises to be really good.

The above image is take from SQL server management and does not represent the plugin
Bug Fixes
As always with new releases Spiceworks have fixed lots of bugs… don’t really know where these were so I planted bugs on my screenshot ![]()
