SpiceWorld 2010 Agenda Announced!

Spiceworks SpiceWorld Spiceworks last night announced the agenda for the SpiceWorld 2010 in Austin Texas, this year is set to be bigger and better than last year with some cool new ideas being tried out as well as the removal of the Spiceworks basic’s sessions.

The Spiceworks basics sessions have been taken out of the SpiceWorld and moved “Spiceworks Boot Camps” like the one in Austin as well as free online training sessions though webinars. This is so that the real event can be filled with more stuff that you want to see and hear things like new features in 5.0, to Virtualization talks from Spiceworks Partners.

They have kept in one of the great things from last year getting some of the SpiceHeads and “Community Rockstars” like Scott Alan Miller to take to the stage and present some topics like “Security Essentials for the SMB IT Network (on a Shoestring Budget!)”.

SpiceWorld Agenda It looks like an action packed couple of days, you can checkout the full agenda on the Spiceworks website here.

Need help finding the budget? Checkout the topic need help getting approval/budget to go to SpiceWorld? on the Spiceworks community, lots of people shared ideas last year.

Don’t forget there are only 200 places and around half of them have already gone. So make sure you register before its too late!

SpiceWorld2009 London – Some pics

WOW

What a great day and evening it was.

We didn’t get as many pictures as Spiceworld Austin did but here are the few we did get, click them for a larger version.

We learnt lots from the fact Spiceworks’s largest network is 39,000 devices to how to start using 4.5 when its released this week.

It was a great day had by all, the venue ended up becoming a bit cosy but that’s a good thing. The turn out was GREAT. Meeting the team was a great experience as well as meeting all the people I had seen around on the community.

I was also surprised to see we had some Swedish people over :-)

I would definitely go back next year :-) and were hoping to get some more UK SpiceCorps (local user meetups) going.

If you have any more pictures please email them to me, use the contact form and ill drop you back my address.

Some quotes and bits from the evening:

  • “Im an Alcoholic and i invented Spiceworks!” http://oots.be/m0
  • We called Texas from a mobile to get Jays number… ended up emailing him.
  • We walked past the BT tower 4 times?
  • Most off us were up till 3am
  • The Spicie got given a new name… Hmm not sure it should be repeated…
  • We randomly bumped into Jay struggling to find transport.
  • We also found out the hard way that London closes way to early…

15 days till Spiceworld London

SpiceWorld London I’m going to Spiceworld London on the 4th December and would love to see some off you there; or if your from over the “pond” make a weekend off it under company expenses?

It promises to be a great day in which you will learn lots of cool stuff from getting the most out of your Spiceworks inventory with monitors, alerts and reporting to running a successful helpdesk.

SpiceWorld London is the going to be officially the 1st ever opportunity for direct 4.5 training!

And after the event you can join me and hopefully the Spiceworks team for a couple of drinks :-)

Now that SpiceWorld is only £145 it’s also one of the cheapest IT conferences and because off this you should be able to write it off as a company training exercise. How to get your boss to let you attend SpiceWorld – http://community.spiceworks.com/topic/74648

“Not only were the sessions very informative and fun, I also enjoyed the opportinuty to meet so many amazing people. Coming to Spiceworld truly gave me a better understanding of how close our community is. Scott Abel’s welcome keynote gave me goosebumps and motivated me to want to be even more active.” merlinpr in the community

Loved it! Great info, great food, great “peer interaction”. I loved getting to meet so many SpiceHeads in person. I have noticed that when I read posts now I do so in the voice of the person that wrote it. :D Definitely worth more than the price I paid to go. ;)SCAdmin in the community
